Starbucks Workers Plan Walkout At Glenview Store: Report
Workers at the Willow Road location formed a union earlier this month to protest the company's "ruthless campaign of anti-union bullying."

GLENVIEW, IL — More than 1,000 workers at over 100 Starbucks locations across the country are striking this weekend — including potentially a Glenview store — according to Starbucks Workers United. The collective said the walkouts are part of the "Double Down Strike," a nationwide unfair labor practice strike against the coffee company.
Chicago Sun-Times is reporting that six Chicago-area Starbucks plan to join the strike between Friday and Sunday. The newspaper said hours for the planned walkouts vary, but included the 2760 Willow Road location as participating.
An employee at the Glenview location told Patch that there was no strike planned there Friday, but invited an editor to come to the store Saturday to discuss the situation further. Earlier this month, workers at the Glenview store formed a union by a unanimous 18-0 vote, according to union representatives.
