Supporting Children During Divorce
Dr. Clatch writes about the importance of parents paying attention to their children during the divorce process.

Many children experience sadness and depression following the divorce of their parents. While parents may struggle with the challenges of divorce, they must be aware of their children’s emotional needs and observant of changes in behavior. Signs of depression that last for more than two weeks and occur in an environment that may not be supportive of the child should warrant both change and intervention. Clinical help may be crucial for the child’s well being if prolonged depression occurs.
