Texas Man Confesses to 2015 Armed Bank Robbery in Glenview

Nader Jaser Abdullah, of Houston, also pleaded guilty to armed bank robberies in four other states during July of last year.

A Texas man admitted to committing a spree of armed bank robberies across five states last summer, including one in Glenview.

Nader Jaser Abdullah, 53, Houston, pleaded guilty March 24 in U.S. District Court in St. Louis to five armed bank robberies across the country during July 2015, according to a Justice Department press release. One of those financial institutions was Devon Bank's Glenview branch, 950 Milwaukee Ave., on July 1.

Other cities Abdullah admitted to robbing banks before being arrested in Wisconsin included:

  • St. Louis
  • Hendersonville, North Carolina
  • Phoenix
  • Las Vegas

Abdullah faces a maximum sentence of 20 years and also could be fined up to $250,000. His sentencing is June 23.
