Texas Man Nabbed On Homicide Warrant: Glenview Police Blotter

The 35-year-old had a warrant out of Harris County, Texas, according to police.

Samuel Bova, 37, of the 4500 block of Lilac Avenue, Glenview, is accused of two counts of an order of protection following the investigation of incidents reported on Sept. 20 and Sept. 21 in the 4500 block of Lilac Avenue, and was arrested at 7:14 p.m. Sept. 21. He was held for transport to the Cook County Courthouse.

Alexis Saborit, 35, of Pasadena, Texas, had a warrant out of Harris County, Texas, for homicide, and was arrested at 9:01 p.m. Sept. 19, in the 1600 block of Milwaukee Avenue. He was held for transport to the Maybrook Courthouse.

IDENTITY THEFT

A Linden Lane resident reported at 8:35 a.m. Sept. 20, checks mailed through the USPS were intercepted in the mail and cashed to a different person for a different amount.

FORGERY

  • An N. Branch Road resident reported at 10:53 a.m. Sept. 21, a check mailed through the USPS was intercepted in the mail and cashed to a different person for a different amount.
  • A Northfield resident called police at 10:53 a.m. Sept. 21, to report a check mailed through the USPS was intercepted in the mail and cashed to a different person for a different amount.
  • A Fontana Drive resident reported at 3:46 p.m. Sept. 22, a check mailed through the USPS was intercepted in the mail and cashed to a different person for a different amount.
  • A resident in the 1500 block of Meadows Lane reported at 12:16 p.m. Sept. 25, a checked mailed at the Glenview US Post Office was intercepted in the mail and cashed to a different person and a different amount.
  • A Waukegan Road resident called police at 12:32 p.m. Sept. 25, to report a check mailed at the Glenview US Post Office was intercepted in the mail and cashed to a different person and a different amount.

THEFT

  • An employee of a business in the 2500 block of Ravine Way reported at 11:18 a.m. Sept. 22, reported the theft of tools. Another employee was given a village ordinance citation for the theft and given a trespass warning to the business.
  • A Rolling Pass resident reported at 12:59 p.m. Sept. 22, someone used their airline frequent flier miles without their permission.
  • A Glenview Road resident reported at 3:53 p.m. Sept. 22, someone used their airline frequent flier miles without their permission.

BURGLARY TO VEHICLE

A Morton Grove resident reported at 7:19 p.m. Sept. 22, someone broke out the front window on their vehicle and stole clothing, while the vehicle was parked in the parking lot at Gallery Park, 2699 West Lake Avenue.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY

Police responded to an alarm at 3:02 a.m. Sept. 24, at a business in the 2100 block of Waukegan Road. Upon arrival, officers saw an unknown offender gained entry to the business by breaking out a window on the north side of the business.

SUSPICIOUS INCIDENT

An employee of a business in the 1400 block of Waukegan Road reported at 4:18 p.m. Sept. 24, a female customer attempted to pass a counterfeit $100 bill to make a purchase. Employees told the female they would not accept the counterfeit bill and gave it back to the customer. The female left the area in a silver vehicle.
