Thief Takes Bike For Test Drive, Never Returns: Glenview P.D. Blotter
The person was responding to a social media sales ad, according to police.

Timothy J. Leszynski, 36, of the 700 block of 3rd Street, La Salle, is accused of identity theft, theft of lost or mislaid property, and was arrested at 9:34 p.m. Aug. 10. The arrest follows an investigation into an incident on Aug. 10 in the 1900 block of Willow Road. A bond hearing of Aug. 12 was assigned.

Melissa Meenie, 55, of the 2300 block of Covert Road, Glenview, had an outstanding warrant for failure to appear out of Grundy County, and was arrested at 5:42 p.m. Aug. 13, at the Glenview Police Department. She was released on bond.
LARCENY
Denisse O. Jones, 53, of the 1200 block of Johnson Drive, Buffalo Grove, had an outstanding warrant out of Westmont for larceny/theft, and was arrested at 6:58 p.m. Aug. 9, following a traffic stop in the 1600 block of Milwaukee Avenue. She was cited for an expired registration and turned over to the custody of the Westmont Police Department.
LEAVING THE SCENE
Sanket Patel, 38, of the 9600 block of Golf Terrace, Des Plaines, is accused of leaving the scene of an accident, and was arrested at 10:31 a.m. Aug. 7, at the Glenview Police Department. The arrest followed an investigation into a crash reported on July 29 in the 600 block of Zenith Drive. He was released on bond.
FLEEING/ELUDING POLICE
Donita Rogers, 22, of the 4600 4600 block of N. Lawndale Avenue, Chicago, is accused of fleeing/attempting to elude police, speeding (15-20 mph over the speed limit), and was arrested at 12:12 p.m. Aug. 7, at the Glenview Police Department. The arrested followed an investigation into a May 9 incident in the 200 block of East Lake Avenue. She was released on bond.

INCIDENTS
FORGERY
A Greenbriar Drive reported at 12:05 p.m. Aug. 8, a check mailed with the U.S. Postal Service was intercepted in the mail and cashed to a different person for a different amount.
NO VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE
- A resident was cited for no valid driver's license, improper display of a license plate, and was arrested at 2:12 p.m. Aug. 8, following a traffic stop in the 800 block of Milwaukee Avenue.
- A Lincolnwood resident was cited at 4:05 a.m. Aug. 14, for no registration plate light, no valid driver's license, following a traffic stop in the 9700 block of Milwaukee Avenue.
THEFT
- A resident in the 1700 block of Annapolis Drive called police at 4:09 p.m. Aug. 9, to report several "younger" male subjects stole a package from their mailbox and left the area.
- A resident in the 1600 block of Greenwood Road called police at 4:31 p.m. Aug. 12, to report someone stole their bicycle following a "test drive" of the bike in response to a social media sales ad.
SUSPENDED DRIVER'S LICENSE
- A Skokie resident was cited at 8:02 p.m. Aug. 10, for having a suspended driver's license, following a traffic stop at East Lake Avenue and Wagner Road.
- A Northbrook resident was cited at 11:46 p.m. Aug. 11, for driving while license suspended, having an expired registration, after a traffic stop on West Lake Avenue at Landwehr Road.
IDENTITY THEFT
A Nordica Avenue resident reported at 12:57 p.m. Aug. 11, someone used their personal information to open a line of credit with ATT.
STOLEN VEHICLE
A resident in the 400 block of Washington Street reported at 3:19 p.m. Aug. 13, their vehicle
was stolen from their driveway, following a report of the vehicle being involved in a crash in
Park Ridge.
BATTERY
A resident reported at 6:47 p.m. Aug. 13, being pushed by a 65-year-old man, 6-foot tall, medium build, while shopping at a business in the 0-100 block of Waukegan Road. The male subject left the store prior to police arrival.
