Thieves Crash Van Into Store; Leave With Nothing After Confronted by Employee

Police in Glenview are seeking four suspects after a full size van drove into the Abt Electronics store at 1200 Milwaukee Avenue.

According to police, the full size van and a minivan pulled into the business’ parking lot at 5:38 a.m. Tuesday before one male offender drove the van into the building through an exterior and interior set of glass doors.

“Once the doors were breached all four male offenders ran into the store where they were confronted by an employee,” according to a police report. “After being confronted, the four offenders ran out of the store and fled the scene in the minivan.”

No merchandise was taken and the incident remains under investigation.
