Two Teachers At Glenview School Celebrate Leap Day Birthdays
The pair of Willowbrook Elementary School educators has its first birthday in four years on Saturday.
GLENVIEW, IL — A pair of teachers at the same Glenview school are preparing to celebrate their official birthdays Saturday for the first time since 2016.
Willowbrook Elementary School fourth grade teacher Jennifer Lund and music teacher Kurt Barker were both born on Leap Day. Both teachers celebrated their birthdays at school Friday, according to Principal Scott Carlson.
"In a building with 46 certified educators, it is pretty amazing that we have two with leap year birthdays," Carlson said in an email. "The staff and students were excited to recognize these two excellent educators today."

The chance of any one person being born on Feb. 29 is 1,461 to 1. And with 46 teachers at the Northbrook/Glenview School District 30 school, the chance that any two of them would both have quadrennial birthdays is less than 1 in 5000.
