The Glenview Police Department is overseeing the program for residents planning to be away from home for an extended amount of time.

GLENVIEW, IL — The Vacant House Watch program, overseen by the Glenview Police Department, is available to residents. According to the Village, the program is for residents planning to be away from home for an extended period of time.

During your time away, a police officer will visually inspect the exterior of your property on a periodic basis to look for open doors or windows or other visible signs of possible security breaches. These inspections will be subject to officer availability based on shift scheduling, emergency response, and performance of other required duties.
