Village Partners With Glenview Library To Support History Center
The Village and History Center will partner on budget and revenue planning as part of the annual budget development process.

GLENVIEW, IL — Last year, much-needed facility repairs coupled with dwindling operating funds were especially challenging for the Glenview History Center. Officials from the Village, library and history center began working on an agreement to help boost programming and establish funding for the property at 1121 Waukegan Road.
On Feb. 7, the Glenview Village Board approved an intergovernmental agreement to officially cement the partnership between the three entities.
"Glenview has such a rich history of notable people, places, projects and artifacts," Village President Mike Jenny said in a statement. "I'm excited to partner with the Glenview Public Library and Glenview History Center to ensure the story of the Village continues to be shared for generations to come."

According to the Village, the Village and the History Center will partner on budget and revenue planning as part of the annual budget development process. The Village will also coordinate with the History Center on short- and long-term facility maintenance needs to ensure the ongoing upkeep of the History Center facilities.
As part of the agreement, the library will support the History Center’s operations by providing available library employees and contractors to assist with the daily operation and management of the History Center. According to the Village, this could include implementing existing and/or new History Center programs, educational opportunities and events. To facilitate these operations, the library may hire additional employees or contractors to assist with the daily or one-time operations and management of the Hibbard Library and the Farmhouse Museum.
