Wanted Man Charged With Felony DUI After Crash: Glenview Crimes

GLENVIEW, IL — The following information comes from the Glenview Police Department as a record of police activity and includes both incidents reported by the public and arrests made by police. Readers are reminded that an arrest is not an indicator of guilt and criminal charges represent merely accusations. All persons arrested are innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
INCIDENTS
CRIMINAL TRESPASSING
A resident in the 2200 block of Pinehurst Drive reported at 1:12 p.m. on Jan. 10 that someone was on the property without permission.

BURGLARY
A patron in the 4500 block of West Lake Avenue reported at 3:15 p.m. on Jan. 10 that someone had entered his unlocked vehicle and taken a cellular telephone worth $200 from inside.
TRESPASSING
An employee in the 2100 block of Willow Road reported at 6:52 p.m. on Jan. 10 that someone had refused to leave an unspecified business when asked.

HOME BURGLARY
A resident in the 900 block of Windsor Road reported at 8:52 p.m. on Jan. 10 that someone had entered their house without permission and took more than $2,000 worth of jewelry from inside.
IDENTITY THEFT
A resident in the 700 Waukegan Road reported at 10:37 a.m. on Jan. 11 that someone submitted had a fraudulent application to the Social Security Administration using their personal information, but there was no report of any loss.
ELECTRONIC HARASSMENT
A resident in the 3500 block of Merle Lane reported at 4:31 p.m. on Jan. 11 that they had been getting unwanted texts and e-mails.
BURGLARY
An employee in the 1700 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported at 7:45 p.m. on Jan. 11 that someone had entered an unlocked vehicle in their parking lot and stolen a wallet worth $40 from inside..
RETAIL THEFT
An employee in the 3500 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported at 11:17 p.m. on Jan. 11 that someone took $13 worth of smoking products from the shelf and left without paying.
THEFT
A contractor in the 2300 block of Capital Drive reported at 2:46 p.m. on Jan. 12 that someone had stolen a snow pusher from a trailer, which was damaged during the course of the theft. The combined loss was reported to be more than $10,000.
POSSESSION OF FICTITIOUS IDENTIFICATION
An employee in the 2700 block of Pfingsten Road reported at 8 p.m. on Jan. 13 that someone had tried to buy alcohol with a fraudulent driver’s license.
DISTURBANCE
An employee in the 1800 block of Waukegan Road reported someone was in the business after being told to leave at 10:34 p.m. on Jan. 13.
IDENTITY THEFT
A resident in the 800 block of Glenview Road reported at 1:49 p.m. on Jan. 14 that someone had made unauthorized purchases using their credit card number.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS
An employee of an unspecified business in the 1700 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported at 2:22 p.m. on Jan. 15 that someone was walking through a parking lot pulling on the door handles of vehicles.
RETAIL THEFT
An employee in the 1900 block of Tower Drive reported at 3:14 p.m. on Jan. 15 that someone took a bottle of nail polish worth $19 from the shelf and left the store without paying for it.
THEFT OF UNATTENDED ITEM
A patron at an unspecified business in the 2100 block of Patriot Boulevard reported shortly before 6 p.m. on Jan. 15 having left a telephone worth $700 at the business. It was reportedly gone when when they returned.
CRIMINAL TRESPASSING
An employee in the 1000 block of Waukegan Road reported at 7:14 p.m. on Jan. 15 that someone was at the unspecified business without permission.
UNWANTED PERSON
A resident in the 900 block of Church Street reported at 7:19 p.m. on Jan. 15 that someone who was not wanted on the property had come to their door.
ARRESTS/CITATIONS
A 41-year-old Chicago man was arrested at 5:41 p.m. on Jan. 8 and charged with driving with a suspended license and expired registration following a traffic stop in the 1200 block of Grenwood Road.
Bernard Berg, 51, of the 1500 block of Milwaukee Avenue, Glenview, was arrested at his home at 9:11 p.m. on Jan. 8 and charged with domestic battery.
Sean Rosario, 18, of the 6700 block of North California Avenue, Chicago, was arrested at 11:45 a.m. on Jan. 11 and charged with retail theft and possessing less than 10 grams of cannabis in the 2200 block of Willow Road.
Denise Morgan, 56, of the 7600 block of West Everell Avenue, Chicago, was arrested at 10:20 a.m. on Jan. 11 and charged with leaving the scene of an accident, failure to give aid or information and failure to yield from a private driveway following an investigation into a traffic crash that occurred in the 1200 block of Milwaukee Avenue on Dec. 25.
Jerzy Sznura, 63, of the 500 block of Michael Manor, Glenview, was arrested at 3:06 p.m. on Jan. 11 and charged with violating an order of protection in his block of his residence.
Johnson Achettu, 50, of the 900 block of Neil Lane, Glenview, was arrested at 5:52 p.m. on Jan. 11 and charged with domestic battery in the block of his residence.
Devonte Dansbury, 24, of the 3200 block of West 15th Street, Chicago, was arrested at 4:04 p.m. on Jan. 11 and charged with forgery in connection with an undisclosed investigation into an incident that occurred in the 1700 block of Milwaukee Avenue at an unspecified time.
Richard Rinard, 54, of the 100 block of Lilly Lake Road, McHenry, was arrested at 12:40 p.m. on Jan. 12 and charged with leaving the scene of a property damage accident, failure to give aid or information and ticketed for improper lane usage following an investigation into a Jan. 10 crash that took place in the 800 block of Milwaukee Avenue.
Joseph Weinbender, 51, of the 1800 block of Goodwin Drive, Palatine, was arrested shortly before noon on Jan. 12 at the Palatine Police Department on an active Glenview Bond Forfeiture Warrant.
Romero Chavez, 22, of the 0-100 block of Hickory Court, Carpentersville, was arrested shortly before 5 p.m. on Jan. 12 at the East Dundee Police Department on an active Glenview Bond Forfeiture Warrant.
Presley Racine, 21, of the 500 block of North 5th Avenue, Des Plaines, was arrested at 11:56 p.m. on Jan. 12 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a blood alcohol concentration of 0.08 or more following a a traffic stop in the 1700 block of Greenwood Road. She was also ticketed for possession of less than 10 grams of cannabis and improper lane usage.
Zlatan Pasic, 38, of the 3200 block of Bellwood Lane, Glenview, was arrested shortly before 1 p.m. on Jan. 13 following an investigation into a traffic crash near his home. He already had an active arrest warrant issued by the Lombard Police Department in connection with an accusation of telephone harassment. He was also charged with felony aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol – due to his license having already been revoked. Pasic was also charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, operating a vehicle in violation of restricted driving permit and cited for driving an uninsured vehicle and improper lane use.
Catherine DiSilvestro, 53, of the 1700 block of Admiral Court, Glenview, was arrested shortly before 11 p.m. on Jan. 14 and charged with leaving the scene of a property damage accident, failure to give information after striking an unattended vehicle and failure to report an accident to police following a traffic crash investigation in the 1900 block of Patriot Boulevard.
