Westbrook Principal Leaves for Highland Park

The North Shore School District 112 announced the appointment of Courtney Nordstrom as the new principal of Ravinia Elementary School Wednesday.

Nordstrom, who currently serves as principal of Westbrook Elementary School in Glenview District 34, will begin her new role July 14.

“We are pleased to welcome Courtney to Ravinia and to the North Shore School District 112 family,” said Superintendent Michael Bregy. “She comes to our district with a proven track record as an instructional leader. Additionally, our interview team was particularly impressed with her compassionate nature and sense of humor, and her commitment to student academic and social/emotional growth.”

Nordstrom has previously served as assistant principal of Meadowbrook Elementary School in Northbrook District 28 and taught third grade for six years at Half Day School in Lincolnshire Prairie View School District 103 and two years prior to that at Starry Elementary School in Marion, Iowa.
