Update: Description Of Car In Fatal Glenview Hit-And-Run Released

A 59-year-old Wheeling man, who was riding his bicycle, was pronounced dead at an area hospital in the early Saturday morning incident.

GLENVIEW, IL — The make of a car involved in a Saturday hit-and-run crashed the killed a Wheeling man was released by police Sunday. A preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect vehicle in the crash is a dark-colored 2017-2018 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport. Police said the car has damage to the front driver’s side headlight and front bumper.

A Wheeling man, who was riding his bicycle, was killed after being struck by a car early Saturday near Sanders Road and South Parkway Drive. Trinidad Salgado, 59, was taken to Lutheran General Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead

No car was located at the scene of the 3:10 a.m. crash, according to the Glenview Police Department. The cause of the crash has yet to be determined, and no charges have been filed.
