Woman Killed After Crashing SUV on Edens Expressway in Glenview

GLENVIEW, IL - A woman who crashed her SUV on the Edens Expressway in Glenview has died.

State Police have identified the victim of Wednesday afternoon’s crash just south of Willow Road as Amy Keel, a 33-year-old Waukegan resident according to the Chicago Tribune.

Reports indicate Keel was driving a Chevrolet Tahoe on the inbound side of the expressway when she tried to make a lane change, swerved to avoid hitting another vehicle and veering off the road and hitting a tree, fence line and light pole.

She was transported to Evanston Hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 12:51 p.m.
