Yoga, Triathlon, Concert: Glenview Parks Calendar

GLENVIEW, IL — The Glenview Parks District has tons of fun activities and events for the public. Some of them are completely free! From yoga to a triathlon, and concerts to pool parties, there's more than enough to keep busy this hot summer. Below is the weekly calendar from the Glenview Parks District.

Free! Lakeside Yoga

• 6-7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 3 at Park Center Patio Lawn, 2400 Chestnut Ave.
• Enjoy the tranquility of a beautiful lakeside setting for a blissful end to your week. Yoga classes are free and open to the public. Please bring your own yoga mat. Visit getfitglenview.org.

Restoration Work Days

• 9 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 4 at Fuller Air Station Prairie, 2400 Compass Rd.
• Make a difference in the environment! Work parties may be cancelled in case of inclement weather. Meet at the Tyner Interpretive Center. Seasonal activities include brush cutting, weed removal and seed collection. Bring work gloves if you have them.

17th Annual Park Center Triathlon

• 6:30 a.m., Sunday, Aug. 5 at Gallery Park, 2400 Chestnut Ave.
• Race activities include a 300-yard pool swim at Splash Landings, 10-mile bike through The Glen and a 5k run around Gallery Park. Participants receive a dri-wicking t-shirt, finishing medal, goodie bag and a chance to win great prizes. Gallery Park is located behind Park Center, 2400 Chestnut Ave. Ages 14 & older welcome. Summer Pool Event – Fiesta!

• 4-7 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 7 at Roosevelt Pool, 2239 Fir St., Glenview
• Join us for a summer fiesta themed pool party for some great family fun. Enjoy food specials at the concession stand, games for kids of all ages and music provided by a DJ! There will be a dance party in the water with a free Aqua Zumba class at 5:45 p.m. Regular admission rates apply. Visit glenviewparks.org/pools or call 847-724-3337.

Free! Bearfoot in the Park Concerts featuring: R Gang

• 7–8:30 p.m., Aug. 8 at Jackman Park Gazebo, 1930 Prairie St.
