1 Critically Injured When 2 Minivans Collide Near Round Lake
The crash occurred on Fairfield Road just south of Route 120 in unincorporated Round Lake Wednesday morning.

ROUND LAKE, IL -Β One person was critically injured Wednesday morning in a two-vehicle crash near Round Lake.
The sheriff's office was called to Fairfield Road south of Route 120 in unincorporated Round Lake at about 6:50 a.m. on Wednesday where they found the crash, which involved a 2005 Chrysler Town & Country minivan and a 2008 Honda Oddyssey minivan, according to a sheriff's office press release.
The crash occurred when the Honda was stopped in traffic while headed north on Fairfield Road, just south of Route 120, and was struck from behind by the Chrysler. The driver of Chrysler was taken to Condell Hospital in critical condition. The driver of the Honda was not injured, police said.

The crash remains under investigation by the Lake County Sheriff's Office Technical Crash Investigations Unit.
