Officers were first called to Six Flags at about 7:15 p.m. Monday for reports of a fight that broke out at the park. Witnesses told police the fight started between two groups inside the park, near the front gates, and spread into the parking lot.
Officers at the theme park quickly intervened to try to stop the large crowd that was fighting, according to the news release. Those attempts were not successful, which lead a Gurnee officer to use pepper spray to try and break up the "disruptive crowd," according to the news release.
