3 Kilos Of Meth Found In Lake County Drug Bust: Police
The drugs were fond in a basement at a home in Gurnee. Three people have been arrested in connection with the drug bust.
GURNEE, IL — Three people were arrested and three kilos of methamphetamine were confiscated form a home in Lake County this past week.
On Tuesday, the Zion Police Department and the Northern Illinois Police Alarm System's Emergency Service Team conducted a search at a home in Gurnee as part of an investigation into an person accused of selling meth in Zion and in the Lake County area, according to a new release from the Zion Police Department.
Police learned there were large quantities of meth in the basement of the home but there was no evidence that the drugs were being chemically produced at the location, according to authorities.

Authorities were called in to retrieve the drugs and decontaminate the basement, according to the news release.
Three adults were taken into custody and three kilograms of meth — in pill and crystal form — was recovered. Three grams of cocaine and four firearms were also confiscated, police said.
