LAKE COUNTY, IL — A brief EF-0 tornado touched down near Grayslake on June 19, damaging multiple homes and uprooting trees in a subdivision as severe storms moved through Lake County.
Residents reported sudden high winds and shaking as the storm passed through the area in the evening hours. The National Weather Service confirmed the tornado as part of a broader storm system that produced scattered damage across the region, according to NBC Chicago.
No injuries were reported, but officials said several properties sustained minor structural damage, according to the news report.
