• 'Urge motorists to slow down': 3 hospitalized after separate crashes in same curve on Rollins Road near Lake Villa (lakemchenryscanner.com) — Recent crashes on the dangerous curve of Rollins Road near Route 45 have repeatedly drawn Grayslake firefighters, including two collisions on the same rainy morning that hospitalized three people. Authorities say they've handled numerous wrecks there this year and are urging local drivers, especially those traveling between Grayslake and Lake Villa, to slow down and adjust for wet conditions.
   

• Millikin men's tennis sweeps Sunday road matches (jg-tc.com) — Millikin University's men's tennis team opened its Sunday with a dominant 7-0 win over College of Lake County right here in Grayslake before heading to Wisconsin for another victory. Local fans saw CLC fall in straight-set singles and doubles, as Millikin used the match to tune up for regional championships and its upcoming winter schedule.
