• Judge allows blind man's lawsuit to continue against Grayslake dealership accused of 'bait and switch' during new car purchase (lakemchenryscanner.com) — A Lake County judge has allowed a lawsuit against City Chevrolet of Grayslake to proceed in court, rather than private arbitration, after a legally blind North Chicago man alleged he was overcharged more than $10,000 and given an 11% loan rate. The case, which could even seek to bar the dealership from selling and servicing vehicles in Illinois, returns to court in early November.
   

• Huskies Share the Points with Detroit Mercy (niuhuskies.com) — A Northern Illinois University men's soccer player from Grayslake Central converted a second-half penalty in a match where the Huskies surrendered a 2-0 lead to draw 2-2 with Detroit Mercy. For Grayslake fans following local athletes in college, the game highlights both his first collegiate goal and the team's frustration ahead of a key road trip to Green Bay.
