Armed Robbers Steal Cash Register From Gas Station: Police
The armed robbery happened at a gas station in the 33100 block of North Route 45 in unincorporated Grayslake Saturday morning.
LAKE COUNTY, IL — The Lake County Sheriff's Office is investigating an armed robbery that happened at a gas station near Grayslake Saturday morning.
Police say two men entered the gas station in the 33100 block of North Route 45 at about 8:15 a.m., pointed a gun at both the store clerk and a customer and then stole the cash register, which had money inside, according to a news release from the Lake County Sheriff's Office.
Both men, who are described as being black and between 18 and 25 years old, then fled on foot northbound from the gas station, according to authorities. The men were thin and were wearing masks, black-hooded sweatshirts, black pants and black shoes.

Police have recovered evidence near the scene, which is being processed by evidence technicians.
