The auditions will be held at the College of Lake County on Sept. 16 and 17.

CLC: Actors age 18 and above are invited to audition for the College of Lake County’s fall dramatic comedy β€œShe Kills Monsters.” Auditions start at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 16 and Tuesday, Sept. 17 in the Studio Theatre, James Lumber Center for the Performing Arts, Grayslake Campus. Rehearsals begin Monday, Sept. 30 and take place Monday-Thursday evenings, with possible weekend rehearsals based on cast availability. You must be available for all rehearsals from Sept. 16 through the performances. Showtimes are Friday and Saturday, Nov. 8 and 9 at 7:30 p.m.; Sunday, Nov. 10 at 2 p.m.; and Thursday-Saturday, Nov. 14-16 at 7:30 p.m. Please make sure you have these dates and times free before you audition.

Written by Qui Ngyuyen, β€œShe Kills Monsters” is the story of Agnes, who leaves her childhood home in Ohio following the death of her teenage sister, Tilly. When Agnes finds Tilly’s β€œDungeons & Dragons” notebook, she stumbles into a journey of discovery and action-packed adventure in the imaginary world that was Tilly’s refuge. This high-octane, dramatic comedy laden with homicidal fairies, nasty ogres and β€˜90s pop culture offers a heart-pounding homage to the geek and warrior within us all.
