Come Together in Honor of Our Kids

Join us to enjoy a softball tournament in honor of D46 students.

On Saturday September 15th, 112 members of our community will show their commitment to the kids of D46 by reliving their own youths out on the ball field! Home Run for Education is a coed 14-inch softball tournament benefiting the D46 Education Foundation. Please join us in Central Park at the two ball fields closest to Grayslake Central High School for an incredibly fun afternoon of friendly competition between parents, teachers and other members of the community who just want to have fun and honor our kids at the same time!

Games will begin at 10am (please note time change). The championship game will take place at 3pm and will be followed by an award’s ceremony at the Vine’s Jazz Festival held on Slusser St in downtown Grayslake. We’d like to thank the Vine for opening up their event to our dedicated softball players and spectators!

Let’s take this opportunity to come together as a community to show our commitment to supporting and enhancing the education offered to the children across our district. D46 Foundation funds are allocated toward enriching programs such as Destination ImagiNation, the Hovercraft Project, an Academic Enrichment Scholarship fund, and a classroom mini-grant fund that will allow teachers to implement their unique ideas in the classroom. Lunch will be available for purchase from BBQ’D Productions of Round Lake Beach. Music and fun will be free!
