Enriching Science Education

Hands-on, minds-on learning is the most exciting and engaging way to explore and master the sciences! Help us provide necessary science materials and expand the availability of innovative science lab experiments in the classroom by participating in our Science Supply Drive between Nov 3 and Nov 20 at Piggly Wiggly and Grayslake Jewel. 

Most science experiments require the use of consumable products that must be purchased for each group of students to conduct the experiment. It is our mission to ensure that all students in District 46 are able to access an enriching learning experience regardless of economic times; our goal with this project is to minimize the financial obstacles that might prevent students from being able to better understand the sciences through direct experience.

Grayslake Jewel (Rt 83 & Rt 120) and Piggly Wiggly (Center St & Atkinson Rd) have both agreed to participate in this drive, allowing ALL members of the community to participate! You do not need to make a trip to a school to make your donation. Simply stop in either store, purchase the desired items, and leave them in the donation bin on your way out.

The Science Drive wish list and donation bins will be available at participating stores throughout the drive. The wish list is also available on our website. To arrange drop off of donations obtained from other sources, please contact us at d46foundation@gmail.com. If you prefer to make a monetary donation, you may do so through our donate page or by sending a check to the CCSD 46 Education Foundation at PO Box 7261, Grayslake, IL 60030. Include the word "science" on the memo line of a check or in the special instructions box online to have your donation added to a science fund to be held by the Education Foundation.
