Two Grayslake residents honored with Nursing Excellence awards by Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital

Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital honored two Grayslake residents at this year’s Nurses’ Week luncheon. Jocelyn Evangelista, RN, who works in the hospital’s Acute Care department, received the “Education” Nursing Excellence award. Peggy Funk, RN, who works in the Extended Care facility, received the “Resource Utilization” Nursing Excellence award.
Award recipients are nominated and selected by their colleagues. “Celebrating our nurses during Nurses’ Week only begins to show how much we appreciate their hard work and dedication,” said Vice President of Operations and Chief Nurse Executive, Kim Nagy, RN, MSN, CNS, NEA-BC.
In all, 11 nurses and two support staff members were presented awards at this year’s luncheon.
