βItβs a great honor to receive this scholarship,β Pollack said. βMy education at CLC has prepared me for success at Columbia. At CLC, I challenged myself by taking some classes that were outside of my comfort zone. In a speech course, I learned to confront my fear of public speaking. Through a digital photography class, I learned an art form that meshes well with my graphic design career. At Columbia, I am really looking forward to taking graphic design classes that will bring me closer to my career goal, which is to work full time as a graphic designer and also operate my own art business, selling my own paintings.β
