College of Lake County Hires New Chief Information Officer
Allison M. Porterfield-Woods will start Dec. 4.
College of Lake County (CLC) will welcome Allison M. Porterfield-Woods as its new chief information officer Dec. 4.
Porterfield-Woods has served as director of enterprise systems, human resources and student systems at Northwestern University where she provided leadership in organizational and operational management as well as strategy and planning. She completed an accelerated computer career program through DePaul University, has a Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute, and a master of business administration in operational management from the Krannert Graduate School of Management at Purdue University.
CLC President Dr. Lori Suddick said, “I am pleased to welcome Allison Porterfield-Woods to the CLC community and the leadership team. CLC students, faculty and staff will benefit from her experience with enterprise, human resources and student systems; her leadership in organizational and operational management, strategy and planning; and her personal passion for helping others within the community college purpose. Her human service-oriented approach to technology and understanding of how technology can empower people will be an asset to the college.”

Porterfield-Woods replaces Chief Information Officer Greg Kozak, who will retire Dec. 3, after more than five years of service.
She said, "I am thrilled to join the College of Lake County Community as the CIO and work together to support the vision and mission of this institution.”
