Consumers Cooperative Association Announces Winners of Six $1,500.00 Scholarships For Lake County Area Students
The recipients, all Lake County, IL, high school seniors, are able to use the scholarship at the college or university of their choice.

Grayslake, IL, March 31, 2015: Consumers Credit Union (CCU, $660 Million, Waukegan, IL) recently held its 85th Annual Meeting on March 18th in conjunction with Consumers Cooperative Association, CCU’s sponsor. A highlight of the Association’s meeting was the awarding of six (6) $1500.00 scholarships. The recipients, all Lake County, IL, high school seniors, are able to use the scholarship at the college or university of their choice.
“Consumers Cooperative Association is proud to offer our scholarship program to help local students pursue a college or university degree,” noted Julian Penny, President of Consumers Cooperative Association. “We believe it’s important to support our young people by providing them with this financial opportunity. We hope these scholarships help our winners achieve their dreams in their journey from high school to becoming our leaders of tomorrow. We’re are excited for all six winners and look forward to seeing great things from them in the future!”
