Crime Spree: WI Woman Accused Of Attacking Stranger, Hitting 2 With Car In Gurnee

The 25-year-old from Waukesha, Wisconsin, was taken into custody on Monday morning.

GURNEE, IL — A 25-year-old Wisconsin woman. has been arrested after she is accused of hitting two people with her car in a parking lot in Gurnee Monday morning and then attacking a different man while he sat in a different vehicle, police said.

The woman used a butcher knife to strike the vehicle while it was parked, with the man inside, in the 6400 block of Grand Avenue, according to a news release from the Gurnee Police Department. She also went on to slash the man's tire.

When he got out of the car, "a physical struggle ensued," leading to the man sustaining several cuts to his hands. The man was able to get the knife away from the woman, according to a news release.

Police were called to the scene of the physical altercation and used a Taser on the woman after she "aggressively approached an officer," according to the news release. She was then taken into custody.

Just before the attack, the woman is accused of running her vehicle into two different pedestrians in a parking lot in the 6100 block of Grand Avenue. The pedestrians, a 60-year-old woman and a 79-year-old man, were both transported to area hospitals.

The older man sustained serious injuries, and the woman suffered an ankle injury, police said.

An investigation into the incidents remains under investigation, and charges are pending, according to authorities.
