Dead Man Found In Ditch In Gurnee Thursday

GURNEE, IL — A death investigation is underway in Gurnee after a man's body was found in a ditch near the intersection of Delany Road and Grove Avenue Thursday morning, police said.

The Gurnee Police Department was called to the area at about 10:30 a.m. where they found a man with "serious injuries," who was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a news release from the Gurnee Police Department.

An autopsy has been scheduled with the Lake County Coroner's Office, and the Major Crash Assistance Team is aiding in the investigation.
