District 46 School Board OKs New Superintendent
Lynn Glickman is currently the Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources in Community Consolidated School District 21 in Wheeling

GRAYSLAKE, IL -- The Community Consolidated School District 46 school board has approved the hiring of a new superintendent. During a Jan. 16 meeting, the school board voted in favor of bringing on board Lynn Glickman as its new superintendent of schools. Glickman will take the reigns on July 1, 2019.
Glickman is currently the Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources in Community Consolidated School District 21 in Wheeling, a pre-K through eighth-grade public school district with 11 schools serving more than 7,000 students. The selection is the result of a national search conducted with the assistance of the Libertyville based educational search firm BWP & Associates that produced approximately 47 qualified applicants from diverse geographic and professional backgrounds.

Over the past 16 years, Glickman has served in a variety of leadership roles in District 21 as well as in East Maine District 63, Des Plaines. She was hired as a principal in District 63 and then promoted to Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources in 2009. In 2014, she was hired by Community Consolidated School District 21 in Wheeling as the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources. She has been in that position since 2014, according to the news release.
Glickman began her administrative career as a principal in Community Consolidated School District 96, Kildeer/Buffalo Grove.

Glickman holds a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) from Northern Illinois University and a masterβs degree in educational administration from the University of Illinois. She earned a bachelorβs degree in elementary education from the University of Illinois as well.
CCSD 46 serves parts of the villages of Grayslake, Third Lake, Hainesville, Round Lake, Round Lake Park, Round Lake Beach, and Lake Villa.
The district is comprised of seven schools. Four kindergarten through fourth-grade neighborhood schools β Avon Center, Meadowview, Prairieview or Woodview, one kindergarten through eighth-grade neighborhood school β Park Campus, one fifth and sixth-grade intermediate school β Frederick, and one seventh and eighth-grade middle school β Grayslake Middle School.
