District 46 Wants To Hear From You

The search for a new superintendent is getting started and the local school district will host a forum Thursday seeking public input.

GRAYSLAKE, IL -- Community Consolidated School District 46 is seeking the community's feedback on what characteristics and qualities they would like to see in a new superintendent. On Thursday, a forum will be held to solicit the public's input. The community forum will begin at 7 p.m. at Frederick School, 595 Frederick Road in Grayslake.

School officials are beginning its process of hiring a new superintendent since its current superintendent, Ellen Correll, will retire at the end of the 2018-19 school year after 14 years with District 46. The new superintendent will take over on July 1, 2019.

During Thursday's forum, the district's search firm, B.W.P. & Associates, LTD, will be on hand soliciting input and also providing information to the community about the process the school board will use in selecting the new superintendent. The forum is meant for parents and community members living within the District 46 school boundaries.
