On Saturday, June 11th, the Grayslake Park District, along with local volunteers, will hold a lake shoreline clean up day (on Gray's Lake) from 8:30am – 12:00pm. The clean up will focus on public access points and other visible points along the lake. The staging area will be at Jones Island Park. The treasure theme will be very prevalent that day as there will be numerous treasure chests scattered amongst the clean up areas for volunteers to find and redeem for prizes and recognition. Local sponsors such as Veolia Environmental Services, Kathy Allen, Greg Hawn, Mitch’s and Rudy’s Mexican Grill have already jumped in and provided sponsorship support for the event. So if you’re part of a scout, civic or church group that would like to participate or own a business that would like to sponsor the event, please call Jeff Nehila at the Park District at (847) 223-7529. We hope to see you on the lake!
