Everclear To Perform For Free In Antioch This Week
The free, all-ages show is set for Thursday, June 11 at the Antioch bandshell.
ANTIOCH, IL — Grammy-nominated alternative rock band Everclear will headline the kickoff of Antioch’s “It’s Thursday” Summer Concert Series, bringing a free, all-ages show to the Antioch Bandshell on Thursday.
The village of Antioch announced the concert in partnership with Raymond Chevrolet Kia and 95 WIIL Rock radio. The performance will take place at the William E. Brook Entertainment Center, 900 Skidmore Drive, according to a news release from Antioch. Doors open at 5 p.m., with music beginning at 6 p.m.
All “It’s Thursday” concerts are free, open to the public and held rain or shine. Following the kickoff event, most shows in the summer series will begin at 7 p.m.

Everclear, formed in 1992, rose to national prominence during the 1990s alternative rock era and has remained an active touring act for more than three decades. The band has released 11 studio albums, earned multiple Gold and Platinum certifications, and sold more than 6 million records worldwide.
Known for hits including “Santa Monica,” “Father of Mine,” “Wonderful,” “I Will Buy You a New Life” and “Everything to Everyone,” Everclear has charted 12 Top 40 singles across mainstream rock, alternative and adult top 40 radio formats. The group also received a Grammy nomination in 1998.

Mayor Scott J. Gartner said the concert series continues to serve as both a community event and a boost for local businesses.
“Our ‘It’s Thursday’ summer concert series is a celebration of the Village of Antioch and a great way to support our local restaurants and businesses,” Gartner said. “We’re excited to welcome Everclear to kick off our summer of music at the bandshell. This promises to be an exciting show for all ages. Come join us for a night of great music and experience all that downtown Antioch has to offer.”

- August 20: Chicago Experience (Chicago Tribute)
- August 27: Mike and Joe (Modern Rock Cover)
The summer series typically draws large crowds to downtown Antioch, where visitors can access restaurants, bars and boutique shops within walking distance of the bandshell, according to village officials. .
