Flooding Update: Several Grayslake Roads Remain Closed Wednesday Night

Flooding on Wednesday closed several area roadways.

GRAYSLAKE, IL -- Several area roads have been impacted by flooding Wednesday with many still closed as of Wednesday night. The village of Grayslake released the following information Wednesday evening regarding roads affected by high water levels:

  • Atkinson Road north of Center Street – open to northbound traffic/closed to southbound traffic.
  • Atkinson Road south of Center Street: closed in both directions from Hoffner Drive to Route 120.
  • Commerce Drive from Hoffner Drive to Post Office entrance: closed.
  • Bobolink from Center Street to Mockingbird Court: closed.
  • Mockingbird Court: closed.
  • Hawley Court: partially closed.
  • Frederick Road: closed.
  • Intersection of Mitchell Drive and West Trail: closed.
  • Intersection of Washington Street and Route 83: extremely high water levels.
  • Route 120 between Route 83 and Atkinson Road: closed.
  • Cambridge Drive from Buckingham Drive through Crossland Drive: closed.
  • Whitehall Court: closed.
  • Pierce Court from Highland Road to Lawrence Avenue: closed.
  • Bonnie Brae Avenue east of Manor Lake: closed.

In addition, the Richard A. Whittington Grayslake Recycling Center is closed due to high water.
