Seminars on how to protect your money before you die.
Three free educational seminars will be held in Lake County to teach attendees why their will or bare bones living trust may not avoid probate and many other problems that might cause your estate to go to people you do not want to have it.
The free breakfast seminars will be provided by Lake Forest Attorney Melburn E. Laundry, a West Point graduate and a member of the National Network of Estate Planning Attorneys.

He said the seminars will cover such subjects as to why you need a living will, health care power of attorney and why a will does not avoid probate.
Specific parts of the seminar will teach you how to protect a child’s inheritance from in-laws, bequests to children by a former marriage and how to protect the surviving spouse while also protecting your estate from a bad marriage and how to avoid the death tax trap. He also will discuss planning for unmarried partners.
