Free workshop for area science teachers--Nov. 2, 8 am to 12:30 pm

Free Workshop in Earth Sciences for Area Science Teachers

 

            Science teachers who feel between a rock and a hard place in making earth science classes both informative and entertaining for their students are invited to attend a free half-day workshop to be held on Saturday, November 2 from 8 am – 12:30 pm at the College of Lake County’s Grayslake Campus. 

“Engaging Students’ Learning in Earth Science Using Technology” will include a series of presentations and teaching demonstrations by middle school and high school teachers.  To download a copy of the agenda, visit http://ucenter.org/educators/new-initiatives/.

Participating teachers will take home lesson plans geared to Next Generation Science Standards in Earth & Space Sciences.  Participants will also visit CLC’s Earth Science Center and will receive 4 CPDUs and a hot breakfast.
