Grayslake Cooperative Nursery School (GCNS) is thrilled to announce the hiring of Jennifer Lerman as Administrative Director. Lerman officially started her new position on June 1 after Meredith Price finished out her tenure in that role. Lerman has been a supporter of GCNS for years, and even served as a past Administrative Director at the preschool when her older children attended. Now that her youngest is back at GCNS, she was ready to take on the job again. Lerman joins GCNS with an impressive background in education and volunteerism. After earning her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Northern Illinois University, Lerman went to work for a few years as a 2nd and 3rd grade teacher at St. Gilbert School in Grayslake. She then worked as the Administrative Director at GCNS from 2005 to 2008. Since 2010, Lerman has been the PTO Treasurer at Meadowview Elementary School, and she will take on the role of PTO Co-President for the 2013 – 2014 school year. In addition, Lerman served as the PTO Secretary at Frederick School. She currently is a private tutor in elementary level reading, comprehension and mathematics.
