Get The Most From Your Bras With Proper Care!

1) ROTATE - Every girl needs a day off and that includes your bras.  Three good bras constitute the start of a good wardrobe. Each bra receives one day of wear and is put to the "back" of the line. In this way the resting bras lose the stretch from wear and return to their original state.  This 'fabric memory' will extend the bra's life and that great feeling of strong support. Depending on the bra, 3 bras in rotation could last as long as two years!

2) WASH - Fabric memory is also improved with washing; however, not too frequently.  Unless you perspire heavily, you probably need to wash your bras only once every 3-5 wearings.  For the 3 bras in rotation that would mean laundry day comes once every two weeks. Hand wash is best with AIR DRY only.  Gentle cycle (as with our bras) is also fine but a lingerie bag is important.  The bra should be hooked in the back and placed in the bag. Use cold water, removing the bras promptly. Reshape the cups and set to dry.  Why air dry? Dryer heat severely shortens the life of the synthetics in bras.  Our Essential Wash is a gentle soap that does not attack or degrade these synthetics.  Dreft, Ivory Snow or other 'baby' laundry soaps are also gentle enough to preserve your bra investment.

3) STORE - I see many women turn one cup into the other when storing their bras. This is not a problem with a fabric cup but molded cups do not store well this way.  When one molded cup is turned into the other, it softens the inside cup and over time will distort the shape.  I've actually seen points develop! So molded cups store best simply set into the drawer lying down or standing up.  Your second and third bra can simply nest in the first. The bras travel well this way, also.  Some women even hang their bras in the closet to protect the cups.

With these 3 steps you'll get the most support out of every wearing and extend the life of the bra as well. Let me know if you have any questions, I can be reached at 224-619-7890 if you'd like a personal fitting as well.

Stay Perky!!
