Gourmet Grilled Cheese Shop Comes To Grayslake

The popular sandwich shop recently moved from Mundelein to Grayslake.

GRAYSLAKE, IL – A gourmet grilled cheese restaurant has moved from Mundelein to Grayslake. GRIL has recently opened up shop at 15 Commerce Drive. The business, which takes a lot of orders for takeout and through UberEats, makes about 100 of its gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches a day, according to a Daily Herald.

The sandwiches range in prices from $8.95 to $10.95, according to the article.

"We have been in Grayslake for about two weeks now and we have been very busy," said co-owner Susan Patricelli, who operates the eatery with her husband, Paul, told the Daily Herald. "We are proud to be in Grayslake, where we have been residents for 20 years."

Some of the sandwiches on the menu include: The F.O.S. (French Onion Soup) sandwich, which includes cararmelized onions, baby Swiss cheese, a heap Butterkase and grilled between Pumpernickel bread; the Nana, which includes all-natural French bread, creamy Brie, schmear some apricot preserves and top it with creamy Butterkase cheese; and the Grayslaker, which features all-natural Pretzel bread, a pile of Colby and some Muenster cheese.
