Grayslake Apartment Complex Evacuated Due To Flooding

Flooding at the Brittany Square apartment complex in Grayslake have left some area residents without a home.

GRAYSLAKE, IL - Police and fire officials in responded to a flooded apartment complex in Grayslake Thursday afternoon to help evacuate residents. The garden-level apartments at the Brittany Square apartment complex flooded and emergency personnel were called to help assist at the scene, according to a Facebook post from the Grayslake Fire Protection District just after 4 p.m.

The apartments are located along Brittany Square in Grayslake. All utilities had been disconnected at the complex, fire officials said. And all displaced residents will be relocated to temporary housing or Red Cross shelters.

The Grayslake Fire Protection District and Grayslake Police assisted with evacuation, securing housing and providing necessary transportation for displaced residents.
