Grayslake District 127 Approves Chromebooks for Freshmen, Sophomores
The school board approved the purchase during a meeting last week.

GRAYSLAKE, IL - Grayslake Community High School District 127 will buy 1,425 new Chromebook personal computers for sophomore and freshmen students as part of a "1:1 learning initiative," the Lake County News-Sun reports. The computers will be in school next year after the school board approved the purchase last week.Â

According to the district, students will use the Chromebooks to interact with one another and with teachers in lessons and web-based applications.

Superintendent Catherine Finger said she was excited about what possibilities the innovative educational tools will provide the students. The district has been preparing for the move for years by progressively expanding its network infrastructure, Finger said.
