Grayslake Expands Outdoor Dining Policy, Allows Pets

The Grayslake Village Board on Tuesday voted to update its rules regarding outdoor dining in town.

GRAYSLAKE, IL — The Grayslake Village Board voted Tuesday in favor of allowing outdoor dining to continue in town.

Village officials said the approved new rules will allow pets to join their owners in the outdoor dining spaces and restaurantsto more easily use public spaces, like parking lots, for outdoor dining, the Daily Herald is reporting.

Many restaurants in Grayslake, and across the Chicago area, offered outdoor dining as a way to keep their businesses afloat during the pandemic.
