The fine art show will be held in conjunction with the village's tree lighting ceremony from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday Nov. 25.

The Grayslake Arts Alliance, a new community group dedicated to promoting the arts in Grayslake, will host its first public event, a Holiday Fine Art Show, in conjunction with the village's tree lighting ceremony from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday Nov. 25.

Featuring painting, photography and sculpture, the show will be held in the second floor village board chambers at the Grayslake Village Hall, 10 Seymour Avenue in Grayslake. Music will be provided by jazz pianist and instructor Bill Chapan and some of his students, according to a village of Grayslake news release.

The Arts Alliance is an organization that aims to bring the arts to Grayslake and to promote local artists by building bridges between existing community organizations, including the Chamber of Commerce, village officials, schools and civic organizations, according to the news release.
