Grayslake Library Hosts Kids' Costume Swap Event
Just in time for Halloween, the local library district will host its Kids' Halloween Costume Swap-O-Rama event on Sept. 29.

GRAYSLAKE, IL --The Grayslake Area Public Library is collecting children’s Halloween costumes until September 22, 2018 for the upcoming Kids’ Halloween Costume Swap-O-Rama on Sept. 29. September 29, 2018. People who donate a costume by Sept. 22 will receive one ticket per costume to be used at the Swap-O-Rama. Shopping hours for ticket holders is from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
To ensure shoppers have a positive experience, the costume must be in good to excellent condition, with no rips, tears, or stains. The costume also must be a complete outfit--no partial costumes or parts.
The Grayslake Library reserves the right to reject donations that do not meet this criteria, according to a news release.

Want to shop the Swap-O-Rama but don’t have a costume to donate? Non-ticket holders may shop between 12 and 1 p.m. on Sept. 29.
Entrance and costume selection is on a first come, first serve basis and the Grayslake Area Public Library cannot guarantee you will find a costume in your size or fit. To make costume selection go smoothly, library officials suggest children wear clothing that allows for costumes to easily to slip on and off at the event.

Donations of kids’ costumes without swapping is accepted and greatly appreciated.
