Grayslake Middle School Invites Community for Cut, Shave at St. Baldrick's Event

Students and staff will also have their hair cut or shaved during next week's event. Money raised will support childhood cancer research.

GRAYSLAKE, IL - Grayslake Middle School will be holding its fourth annual Cut & Shave Fundraiser next week. Funds raised during the St. Baldrick's Foundation event will help support childhood cancer research.

Over 700 students will be in attendance for the afternoon assembly, which will begin at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 7, where students, staff members, and community members will cut their hair or shave their heads for charity, according to a news release. All cut hair will be donated to β€œPantene Beautiful Lengths” and monetary donations will support β€œSt. Baldrick’s Foundation.”

Community members can attend from 3:15 to 6 p.m. for a cut or shave at Grayslake Middle School, 440 N. Barron Boulevard, according to a news release.

Grayslake Middle School has set a $35,000 fund-raising goal. Participants can sign up or donate on the official event website.
