Grayslake North Music Students Inducted into Tri-M Music Honor Society

10 Grayslake North High School Music Students Initiated into the Music Honor Society, Tri-M on Sept. 7

Last week's musical performances of interested candidates set the stage for the Sept. 7, 2016 initiation of 10 new members from Grayslake North High School. The Grayslake North Tri-M chapter welcomed these students to the ranks of the Music Honor Society: Joey Bachinger (percussion), Amy Cappelli (voice), Shaye Hutson (voice), Hannah Kolek (voice), Robert McNeilly (trombone), Mason Olsansky (trumpet), Adam Rutkowski (clarinet), Analise Steeber (voice), Amanda Steiner (voice) and Jessica Yun (flute).

President Hope Hudgins, Vice President Andrea Gutierrez and Tri-M Secretary Payton Bertermann presented the pins to the new members after they pledged to serve their school and community musically. Tri-M hosts the bi-monthly Fine Arts Cafe featuring live music as students enter the school, the Chairs for Chair-ity Team Musical Chairs competition, the in-school Singing Valentines and the Swing Dance Night. In the past, Grayslake North's Tri-M chapter hosted an instrument drive for Lake Villa School District 41. In 2013, they were named the Illinois Chapter of the Year. Tri-M is an international Youth Music Honors Society.
