Grayslake Police, FBI Arrest Man For Shooting Near Cemetery: Authorities
Authorities have arrested the 28-year-old Evanston man on charges of aggravated battery with a firearm following the January shooting.
GRAYSLAKE, IL — A 28-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a shooting that occurred in Grayslake last month.
ELO Owolide, of Evanston, was taken into custody on Wednesday after an investigation into the shooting by the Grayslake Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation's Violent Crime Task Force, according to a news release from the Grayslake Police Department.
Owolide was arrested on an outstanding warrant for aggravated battery with a firearm, stemming from a shooting that occurred on January 30 in the area of Lincoln Avenue near the Grayslake Cemetery, police said.

At the time, Grayslake police had responded to reports of gunfire around 3:30 p.m. The victim, who was later identified as a 26-year-old man, was found at the scene with a gunshot wound. He was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
Detectives have been actively searching for Owolide, who was identified as the suspected shooter shortly after the incident, according to authorities.
