Grayslake Summer Days To Be Held Next Weekend

GRAYSLAKE, IL — Grayslake Summer Days will be in town next weekend.

The two-day festival kicks off Aug. 19 and continues through Aug. 20. The fest includes live music, food, games, rides and crafts. Here is a look at the schedule of events for this year's festival:

Friday, Aug. 19

• 6 p.m.: Simply Elton performs
• 8 p.m.: Boy Band Review performs
• 10 p.m.: Hi Infidelity performs

Saturday, Aug. 20

• Noon: Bike and pet parade
• 12 to 3 p.m.: Touch-a-truck event
• 1:30 p.m. Pie-eating contest
• 3:30 p.m. Slam Funk perofrms
• 6 p.m.: Parade
• 6:30 p.m.: Battle of the bands winner
• 8 p.m.: Fool House performs
• 10 p.m.: Sixteen Candles performs
