Grayslake Woman Seriously Injured In Gurnee Crash
The collision happened Wednesday afternoon on Route 45 near Cascade Way in Gurnee.
LAKE COUNTY, IL — A 73-year-old Grayslake woman was seriously injured in single-vehicle crash on Route 45 in Gurnee Wednesday afternoon, authorities said.
The collision happened at about 3:30 p.m. when a 2020 red Toyota Rav4, which was headed north on Route 45 near Cascade Way, veered off the roadway and hit a tree, according to a news release from the Gurnee Police Department.
The vehicle rolled over, and officers found the driver unconscious and trapped inside the vehicle, according to the news release.

The woman was taken to Advocate Condell Medical Center and remains in serious condition, police said.
Police closed Route 45 for about three hours as they investigated the collision. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
